Uber Eats Manager
Designing tools to help restaurants grow, operate efficiently, and make informed decisions
Product Design, 2023–2025

Background
Uber Eats is a global food delivery platform that connects restaurants, couriers, and customers. Over the past two years, I worked as a product designer on the merchant experience team, designing for both the Uber Eats Partner Web and App platforms.
My Role
I led design across several foundational initiatives supporting restaurant partners. My work emphasized initiative, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous iteration helping merchants onboard smoothly, access insights, integrate tools, and improve operations.
I bring curiosity, empathy, and conviction to every challenge. I believe in:
-
💬 Close collaboration with stakeholders
-
🧪 Early testing and fast iteration
-
🎯 Evidence-backed decision-making
This reflects a mindset of shared ownership, bias toward action, and deep commitment to human-centered design.
Projects Overview
My work spanned several key areas of the merchant experience:
✅ Onboarding & Integrations
Streamlined onboarding and enabled 3rd-party integrations. Worked with product, ops, and research to continuously iterate based on merchant feedback.

⚙️ Operational Efficiency
Initiated and led the Courier Wait Time project empowering merchants to improve handoff speed and reliability through data-driven insights.
Spotlight project
Courier Wait Time Metrics
Uber Eats Manager | Courier Wait Time Metrics
Designing operational insights to help merchants improve handoff efficiency
To improve delivery reliability, we introduced two new metrics into Uber Eats Manager:
📦 Courier Wait Time (CWT): Time from courier arrival to order pickup
⏱ Avoidable Courier Wait Time (ACWT): Portion of CWT exceeding a set thresholdThese were co-developed with stakeholder alignment and merchant input, ensuring clarity and actionability.
My Role
As Senior Product Designer, I led the end-to-end design process:
-
Partnered with Data Science to define metric logic
-
Facilitated workshops with Product, Engineering, and Ops
-
Ran multiple rounds of testing with merchants
-
Advocated for merchant needs in cross-functional decisions
Design Principles
-
Clarity- Simplify complex operational data into clear visuals
-
Actionability- Enable merchants to act on insights immediately
-
Comparability- Provide context through peer benchmarking
🔒Execution Highlights (Designs Confidential)
-
Time-based charts with interactive filters
-
Peer benchmarking with contextual tooltips
-
Explanation UI to support understanding and adoption
The process was highly iterative, involving continuous feedback loops, usability testing, and refinement in collaboration with research and product teams.
🔒 Impact (Confidential)
While results are under NDA, this work gave merchants greater visibility and control over delivery operations, reducing inefficiencies and improving courier experience.
